A car? Whats that?

08/01/2005, 19:38 PM

So....today we had our first day of class. YEAH! it was actually fun. And it wasn't as hard as i thought it was going to be. But then again, it was only the first day. Because most students take a test the first day to see what level they will be starting in (we didn't because we know nothing), there were only 3 of us in class, Mom, me and a girl names Ruth from Australia. She is so cool. She fits right in with me and mom. She even has the same sense of humor as us and is around my age. YEAH! my first real friend in Italy. The books for class turned out to be kind of pricey, the books alone cost 70 euros! But they last for 3 months worth of class, or one level. I cant wait to go to class tomorrow even though it will be our longest day of class. I don't mind because we have 3 day weekend, Friday thru Sunday.

Today we also picked up our rental car! It was so nice not to have to wait for a crowded and hot/sticky bus and go on their schedule, which starting august 15th is once every 2 hours due to the fact that everyone in Perugia, but us, is on vacation at the Amalphi coast. Our car has air conditioning and that is really all we wanted, air conditioning and a means of travel. It was nice to not have to wait and take 3 transfers to get to the mall. We can also now get more groceries and plants because we don't have to carry them on a bus or get a taxi. This is a picture of our car the Opel Corsa. Ours isn't orange of course, its grey, but you get the idea.

Other than that I really don't have too much to report. At least not that I can remember. See, this is why I need to actually write in my journal when I want to put things in here, that way I will remember them. Well, read the news...im sure its wacky....CiĆ o.
