Our savior arrived

07/11/2005, 15:54 PM

So today, mom decided it was time to see the doctor. So, we went to where we thought the doctor was......wrong. We ended up walking about 30 minutes to end up nowhere and mom in an even worse state. I decided to ask these people if they spoke English, and they did. They even knew where a hospital was and would drive us there. YEAH!!!!! Finally after being sent on a wild goose chase, we had found what we were looking for. The hospital looked so high class and we figured because mom was so sick, they would get her in right away.....2 hours later we got to see a doctor. So much for advanced health care. Although the visit only cost us 16 euros. Can you believe how cheap that is? In America it would have cost us at least 1000 dollars without insurance. So. they decided that she needed antibiotics and then wrote out a prescription, called us a taxi, and sent us on our way. We asked to be dropped off at the pharmacy, but, it doesn't open until 4pm here. So now we tootle around on the internet until it opens, get moms meds and then send her to bed.

I am just sooooo frustrated right now. I cant speak the language, I can barely find my way around, we have yet to go to class, heck, we cant even find the damn building, and mom is sick. So.... since we have already missed a weeks worth of class, I have convinced mom that not only would it be convenient but also easier to get a private tutor. So agreed. So as soon as she is feeling better, we are going to go down to the school, cancel our class, and ask for private lessons. In the long run it will be less stressful on us. Well, me I guess I should say. Even though mom is sick, she still is less stressed out than I am. I am just at this point....almost beyond stressed. Hopefully in a few days things will get better.

Well since I have nothing more to say at the moment, I guess I will be heading off to the pharmacy, and wait for it to open so I can get moms meds. I'm sure I will be back on here later tonight, since I have nothing else to do while I wait for mom to get better.
